DESCRIPTION:Ayllu (pronounced I-U) is a Pan-American musical ensemble. Its essence lies in its name – the Quechua\nword for family.\nThrough their unique instrumentation\, uplifting rhythm\, and vibrant melody\, they celebrate the joy of\ncreating community. Ayllu roots their sound in the rhythms\, melodies and instruments of the rich\ncultures of the Americas\, honoring the Mother Earth\, and by extension\, all her children. DESCRIPTION:We are playing Latin American Music at Brookside Farmers’ Market \nMusic is from 11:00am – 1:00pm\nHJ’s Community Center\,\n\nAmado Espinoza\, from Bolivia\, is a unique composer/performing artist/educator specializing in the Bolivian Charango. He also builds custom-made native instruments from all parts of the globe.  Amado has been seen on TEDxKC\, TEDxYouth\, and is the 2017 Charlotte St. Foundation Performing Arts Fellow.  Along with his wife\, Karen Lisondra\, he co-directed and composed a theatrical production called We are the Landscape\, and The Storytelling Project at UMKC’s.\nouwebsj64.sg-host.comHe is joined by his musical brother\, Andres Ramirez\, from Mexico\, who is also a proctector of indigenous ideals.  He is director of Capulli Iskali\, a Meshica dance group\, and is the percussionist for Trio Aztlan.
