TEDxKC opening performance
What happens when you put 50 kids on a stage (ages 7-14) with marimbas, drums and xylophones, etc. and ask them to cover Led Zeppelin? Amado Espinoza opens with a stunning rendition of Eleanor Rigby to welcome the Louisville Leopard Percussionists on-stage.
The Louisville Leopard Percussionists are a performing ensemble comprised of 60+ student musicians ages 7-14, who reside in 26 different Louisville zip codes and attend 48 different schools in and around Louisville, Kentucky.
Amado Espinoza (Bolivia) respects his folk traditions of the Andes Mountains, while creating compositions that are sincere to his musical-wanderlust personality, demonstrating mastery of over 40 instruments, including the Bolivian charango, the Egyptian doumbek, and native flutes from all over the world. Amado also guides sound meditations, recycled instrument workshops, and is a respected instrument maker in South America and beyond.
