This year we are excited to have as our special guest Amado Espinoza. Amado was born and raised in Bolivia South America. His interest for music started at the age of eight, playing instruments of the Andean region, like the Sikus (or panflute). Since his arrival to Kansas City, MO in 2014, Amado has been seen on TEDxKC, TEDxYouth, Folk Alliance International, and has been featured with many local bands. He is the 2017 Charlotte St. Resident Performing Arts Fellow. Amado will be performing with his group Ayllu. This ensemble plays music from different many cultures, Peru, Bolivia, Argentina as well as the US. This event will also feature the Traditional Music Society’s Soundz of Africa ensemble as well as musical selections from Cuba, Brazil and Haiti. A must see event!
